Lyrics

English · machine translation

Under the blue sky of my mountains there is there in the skirt curled up a pearly taperita full of light, full of sun, full of faith and love. Next to the humility of its clods of earth and among her dreamy orchards there are tempting eyes that bewitch when they shine, fascinate when they laugh and kiss when they look. They are the beautiful eyes of my good, the beautiful eyes of my love, that imprisoned my love with their blinding radiance. They are the pupils of the one who is the mistress of my heart, the faithful well-beloved, the ideal companion, with lips of carnation and crystal laughter. For her my feverish singing, for her my triumphant song, the wings of my inspiration in a divine madrigal. It is she, under the blue sky the goddess who, in my solitude, leads me to this radiant Eden which is my happiness. When the sun goes down in the distance and, tired, I return to my tapera, I think of the happiness that awaits me when I meet a woman who speaks to me of love. And if some sorrow crosses my soul and I find no relief in my sorrow, those eyes that I love so much, chase away my sorrow, mitigate my suffering help me to live.
