El Chino Laborde is a tango singer whose recorded birth date is 18 August 1972 [3]. A biographical sketch by Ricardo García Blaya on his career appears under the name Walter Laborde [2].

His career, as documented in the available sources, ran from his joining the Orquesta Típica Sans Souci in 1999 to his first performance in Tenerife in April 2025 [1]. Over that period he recorded with several orchestras and ensembles. These included the Orquesta Típica Fernández Fierro, Sans Souci and Solo Tango Orquesta [1][2]. He also worked in duo and small-group formats with Dipi Kvitko, Franco Luciani and Rudi Flores [1][2].

Career

In 2003 he made his stage debut in Discepolín y yo at the Teatro Presidente Alvear [2]. In the same year he began a duo with Dipi Kvitko [2]. The two released Tango Tango in 2006 [2].

Laborde left Fernández Fierro in 2013 [1]. In 2020 he recorded Primero with Solo Tango Orquesta and Porteñísimo with Sans Souci [1]. In 2024 he released Tablao de tango with Franco Luciani and Rudi Flores [1]. On 12 April 2025 he gave his first performance in Tenerife [1].
