The night spreads its blue mantle A star shines and in its radiance, There's a message of light that says to me: "Is this your night, today love comes". How I wait for it, how anxiously I look at the fountain and in its crystal, Reflects the water its image already Is it a dream or is it reality. And the star hid itself To leave us alone, Behind a faint cloud Like a sweet illusion. My quarrels were silenced My dreams were born, When I said: "I love you" With deep emotion. And signed the moon With silver pallor, The lyrical fortune Of our loves. We were intoxicated by the perfume That springs from the flowers, Lived my fantasy Its best dream.
