Your tenderness and my passion, your joy and my song, are yesterday's chapters. It was your love wine and honey that I drank with fruition; your laughter, a rattle that gladdened my heart. It was your voice "yaraví" that rocked my dreams and your faith ignited in me the anxiety to triumph. It was only by losing you that I learned how much your love was worth! And I, who always laughed I knew how to cry with pain. You were an angel, I know. You flooded me with light. And your wings I nailed the cross of my pride. My good, what treacherous bend of the triumphal path stalked our love in its deadly trap to blind us and cause us so much evil? My good, what treacherous bend without reason or mercy diverted our love from the happiness that you cradled and my anxiety dreamed of? It was my clumsy and vain pride! A bend of mirage where the dream crashed and the future rolled into the abyss. To this desolate abyss where everything is inclemency, where I live tortured and the cold of your absence freezes my heart.
