Estás en mi corazón · Jorge Vidal · 1957

Castellano

Today it took me by the hand, like a blind man, your memory, like a lost traveler who does not know how to return. And there in the last corner of the distant neighborhood of our loves only my desolation found your name on the wall. I don't know why I've returned, girl, to the corner of fifteen-year-old love, when I was a corner sparrow unafraid of life's brutal slingshot. Our love was that game of absence, of waiting and arriving at the wrong time and when I returned I no longer found your presence, only your name shouting without voice. The street becomes a path that gets lost in the distance, my wandering heart will return to the road. And there, on the last corner of the distant neighborhood of our loves, I engraved with tears on the wall that you are in my heart.
