Vanina Bilous is a tango dancer whose recorded date of birth is 1 July 1970 [8]. She began in classical ballet at the Escuela Nacional de Danza María Ruanova in 1976 and qualified as a Profesora Nacional de Danza Clásica in 1986 [1]. She began studying tango in 1985 [1].

From the late 1980s she worked in tango stage productions, television and touring shows in Argentina and abroad, including Japan, Europe, the United States and London [1][2]. She also directed a tango show at the restaurant El Querandí [1]. A listing of performers records her as a partner of Alejandro Aquino, Roberto Herrera, Junior Cervila and Javier Rodríguez . After a break that began in 2003, she returned to the Mundial de Tango in 2021 as a teacher and closing-night soloist, dancing with Javier Rodríguez [1][2].

Training

Bilous began classical ballet training at the Escuela Nacional de Danza María Ruanova in 1976 [1]. In 1986 she graduated as Profesora Nacional de Danza Clásica [1].

She took part in the Broadway revival of 'Tango Argentino' in 1999/2000, which the source connects with a Tony nomination [2]. The material does not specify the category or whether the nomination was hers or the production's [2].

Her last public performance before a break came in 2003, in 'Danza maligna' at the Teatro Metropolitan and at the Théâtre de Chaillot in Paris [2].
