Single sourceJorge Maciel — described as Jorge Maciel (Cantor)
Single sourceMaciel sang for years with Alfredo Gobbi's orchestra before moving up to Pugliese's in the 1950s, where he became more dramatic to suit Pugliese's harder, more angular style compared to Gobbi's rounder sound.
Single sourceMaciel, whose real name is Carlos Pellegrini, sings with Gobbi in 1949 and joins Pugliese in the mid-1950s; with Gobbi his sound is softer and less dramatic.
Single sourceMaciel's first recording was Remembranza with Gobbi in 1948; he later brought the repertoire to Pugliese after Morán left in 1954. With Pugliese he is a dramatic singer with two gears, hold back then wham; with Gobbi he is more modulated and softer.
