Luis César Amadori (born 28 May 1902; died 5 June 1977 in Buenos Aires) was a writer for the stage and a film director [1][2]. He co-wrote the tangos Madreselva with Francisco Canaro and Confesión with Enrique Santos Discépolo in 1931 [6], and co-directed his first film, Puerto Nuevo, with Mario Soffici in 1936 [7].

Luis César Amadori was born on 28 May 1902 [1]. He began medical studies in Córdoba in 1918 but left them to write [3]. His first stage work came in 1927, when he adapted Un buen muchacho with Ivo Pelay for the Teatro Nuevo [4].

After the coup of 1955 he was briefly jailed and then emigrated to Spain, where he remained until 1970 [7]. He died in Buenos Aires on 5 June 1977 [2].
