Ignacio Corsini was born in 1891 [2]. A biographical sketch by Roberto Selles traces his career from the circus and theatre, through the stage company of José Podestá, to recording, radio and other appearances over roughly four decades [1].

He entered the circus and theatre in 1907 through the circus artist José Pacheco [1]. He later sang in José Podestá's company and made his first records for Victor in 1912 [1]. He returned to recording for good in 1920, when his first tango on record was Un lamento [1].

The same source links him to the premiere of Patotero sentimental in 1922 and to making Caminito popular at the Teatro Cómico in 1927 [1]. His last regular performance took place on 28 May 1949, and he died on 26 July 1967 [1].
