Brunswick in Argentina

Brunswick recorded tango in Buenos Aires around 1930: Edgardo Donato made more than 130 sides for it, and Julio De Caro recorded for it at the end of 1929.[1][2]

Edgardo Donato made his first records for Brunswick and recorded more than 130 works for it before moving to Victor on 9 December 1932.[1] Julio De Caro's orchestra was recording for Brunswick at the end of 1929.[2]

In our catalogue Brunswick's tango is 1929 to 1932: Donato, the Orquesta Típica Brunswick and Osvaldo Fresedo.[3]

Notes2

The Brunswick label withdrew entirely from the market in July 1932 and had effectively wound up by May; its house orchestra made about 50 recordings between 1930 and 1932 but only five in 1932.
