Pepa Palazon

Pepa Palazon (also written Pepa Palazón) is a dancer from Spain who came to Buenos Aires in 2007 for a sabbatical year of tango and stayed. [2] She created the interview series 'Tengo una pregunta para vos', which began in 2011. [3][4] She has also danced shows and taught musicality workshops. [6][8]

Pepa Palazon is a dancer who arrived in Buenos Aires from Spain in 2007. She intended to spend a sabbatical year of tango there and stayed on. [2] A Tangodanza article republished online describes her as a Spanish woman who conquered Buenos Aires. [2] Her name appears both as Palazon and as Palazón in source titles. [3][4][7]

She is best documented as the creator and host of the interview series 'Tengo una pregunta para vos'. [3][4] According to the dossier, the series grew out of a conversation with Chicho Frúmboli at the door of La Viruta in 2011, following his El Tangauta profile (No. 182, December 2009). [3] The series later moved to the Centro Cultural de España en Buenos Aires (CCEBA) in 2013 and to DNI Tango in 2014. [4] In 2018 it gained Patreon funding and its own YouTube channel. [5]

One listing records her dancing with a number of partners, including Matías Trípodi, Milena Plebs, Paulo Bernardo, Rolo Valdivieri, Horacio Pebete Godoy, Fabián Peralta, Raúl Bravo, Olga Besio, Eduardo Pareja, Toto Faraldo, Julio Balmaceda and Javier Rodríguez. In 2019 she danced a show with Rolo Valdivieri at Salón Canning. [6] She has also taught musicality workshops, for example in London in October 2025. [8]

Arrival in Buenos Aires

Palazon came to Buenos Aires from Spain in 2007 for a sabbatical year devoted to tango, and she remained in the city afterwards. [2] Tangodanza (no. 58) told her story under the headline 'Tengo una pregunta para vos': una española conquista Buenos Aires, which takes its name from her interview series. [2]

'Tengo una pregunta para vos'

The interview series 'Tengo una pregunta para vos' is credited to Palazon in the titles of its archived website and its videos. [3][4] It was born in 2011 from a conversation with Chicho Frúmboli at the door of La Viruta, following his profile in El Tangauta (No. 182, December 2009). [3] One recorded edition featured the dancer Milena Plebs and was published in three parts. [3]

In 2013 the series moved to the Centro Cultural de España en Buenos Aires (CCEBA). [4] In 2014 it moved to DNI Tango, and Tangodanza published a profile of it after 21 interviews had taken place. [4]

In 2018 Palazon set up Patreon funding for the project and launched a YouTube channel dedicated to the series. [5] On 9 April 2024 she was herself the guest on the programme 'La usina del tango'. [7] The title of that video calls her a journalist (periodista). [7]

The listing does not give dates or occasions for these partnerships.

In 2019 Palazon danced a show with Rolo Valdivieri at Salón Canning. [6] The video of that performance is titled 'La organizadora en show', which refers to her as an organizer. [6]
