Dancer

Rodrigo Fonti

Rodrigo Fonti is a tango dancer documented in filmed performances from 2010 onward, partnering a large number of dancers including Majo Martirena, Yamila Ivonne, Gabriela Perea Demichellis and Mariana Montes [1][2]. Later records place him as a teacher with Martirena at the Krakus Aires festival in Kraków in 2024 and as a performer with Montes at Voluntad Tango in Manziana in 2025 [4][5].

Rodrigo Fonti is a tango dancer [1][2]. A video dancer index lists him with more than twenty dance partners [1].

The earliest dated record is a 2010 film of Fonti dancing with Gabriela Perea Demichellis at Milonga 10 in Buenos Aires [2]. He was first filmed with Majo Martirena in 2015 [2].

In 2021 Fonti and Yamila Ivonne were interviewed for the 'Night Fever' series of Milongueros All Aboard [3]. In 2024 he was listed among the teachers of the Krakus Aires festival in Kraków, teaching with Martirena [4]. In 2025 he performed with Mariana Montes at Voluntad Tango in Manziana, Italy [5].

The dossier holds no information on Fonti's birth, origins or training, or on how he dances [1][2].

Career

The dated records of Fonti's career run from 2010 to 2025 and are drawn from video archives, a festival interview series, a festival teachers' page and a performance video [2][3][4][5]. All dates in these records are given to the year only [2][3][4][5].

In 2010 Fonti was filmed with Gabriela Perea Demichellis at Milonga 10, Buenos Aires [2]. This is the earliest dated record of his dancing in the dossier, and it places him in Buenos Aires [2].

In 2015 he was first filmed with Majo Martirena [2]. Martirena later appeared as his teaching partner [4].

In 2021 Fonti and Yamila Ivonne were interviewed together in the 'Night Fever' series of Milongueros All Aboard [3]. The source's page title describes this as the 66th installment of the series [3]. The source is associated with the Porto Tango Festival [3].

In 2024 Fonti taught with Martirena at Krakus Aires, a tango festival in Kraków [4]. The festival's 'Maestros 2024' page lists him among its teachers [4].

In 2025 Fonti performed with Mariana Montes at Voluntad Tango in Manziana, Italy [5]. The video of this performance is titled with the tango 'Mi tango triste' and the name Goyeneche [5].

A video dancer index records the following partners for Fonti [1]:

The index lists 'Mila Vigdorova' and 'Vigdorova Milagrosa' as two separate partners [1]. The dossier does not say whether these names refer to one person [1].

Sources spell the name of Fonti's partner in the 2021 interview differently [1][3]. The partner index gives 'Yamila Ivonne' [1], while the interview page title gives 'Yamila Ivone' [3].

Teaching and performances

The only teaching engagement in the dossier is at the Krakus Aires festival in Kraków in 2024, where Fonti taught with Majo Martirena [4].
