Martha Anton

Martha Anton was a tango dancer whose recorded activity spans teaching, film work and partnerships with several dancers ^[1][2]. Her name appears in the sources both as Martha Anton and as Marta Antón ^[1][2].

She was born on 31 May 1939 ^[5]. Around 1945 her family settled in Floresta, Buenos Aires ^[2]. In 1986, together with Antonio Todaro, she received the first group of 22 Dutch students from Amsterdam ^[3]. During the 1990s she worked with Luis Grondona on film projects, and in 1999 the two taught canyengue at Galería del Tango ^[2][4]. She died on 7 February 2015 ^[2].
