Jose Luis Salvo

Jose Luis Salvo is a tango dancer whose recorded career centres on the Mundial de Tango, the world tango dance championship ^[2][3][4]. A dancer index lists four partners for him: Yuki Misaki, Carla Rossi, Daniela Barria and Noel Sciuto ^[1].

He competed in the Tango Escenario (stage tango) category in 2011 with Noel Sciuto, whose name the sources render in different forms ^[2]. In 2013 he reached the Tango Escenario semifinal with Yuki Misaki ^[3]. In 2018 he won the Tango de Pista category with Carla Rossi ^[4]. He and Rossi later gave an exhibition at the Muy Martes milonga on 11 August 2026 ^[5].

Competition career

In 2011 Salvo competed in the Tango Escenario category of the Mundial de Tango with Noel Sciuto ^[2]. The video of that performance names his partner as "Marial Noel Sciuto", the claim derived from it gives "María Noel Sciuto", and the dancer index lists her as "Noel Sciuto" ^[1][2]. The sources therefore differ on how her name is written. The source does not state a placing for this entry ^[2].

In 2013 Salvo reached the semifinal of the Tango Escenario category with Yuki Misaki ^[3]. The recording of their semifinal performance lists the couple with the country designation Argentina ^[3].

In 2018 Salvo won the Mundial de Tango in the Tango de Pista category, partnered by Carla Rossi ^[4].

Partners

A dancer index records Salvo as having danced with the following partners ^[1]:

- Noel Sciuto, his partner in the 2011 Tango Escenario competition ^[1][2] - Yuki Misaki, his partner in the 2013 Tango Escenario semifinal ^[1][3] - Carla Rossi, with whom he won the 2018 Tango de Pista title and later performed exhibitions ^[1][4][5] - Daniela Barria, for whom the dossier gives no dates or events ^[1]

Performances

On 11 August 2026 Salvo and Carla Rossi gave an exhibition at the Muy Martes milonga ^[5]. One of the recorded dances from that exhibition was set to "El temblor", listed as recorded by D'Arienzo ^[5]. The video is marked as the second of two parts, which indicates that more than one dance was filmed that evening ^[5].
