Gaston Torelli

Gaston Torelli is a tango dancer associated with Práctica X, where he gave exhibitions, taught and took part in events with partners including Mariela Sametband and Moira Castellano [2][3][4][5]. A video listing connects him with several other partners, among them Noelia Hurtado, Mariana Dragone, Natalia Fures, Gri Montanaro and Dana Frigoli [1].

Gaston Torelli is a tango dancer [1]. Most of the dated material about him comes from the blog of Práctica X, which documented an exhibition with Mariela Sametband [2], performances and teaching with Moira Castellano [3][4], and a 'Desafíos Maestros' event with Castellano [5].

Beyond Práctica X, he appeared with Castellano as a guest artist at Mar del Plata Vive Tango in 2014 [6]. A video dated 26 April 2026 shows him dancing with Gri Montanaro at Alsina tango club [7]. In that video's title his name is spelled "Gastón Toreli" [7].

A video listing records partnerships with Noelia Hurtado, Mariana Dragone, Moira Castellano, Mariela Sametband, Natalia Fures, Gri Montanaro and Dana Frigoli, and it lists Serkan Gökçesu as a partner of his as well [1]. The listing gives no dates for these partnerships [1].

History

The earliest dated record is an exhibition with Mariela Sametband at Práctica X, Anchorena 641, which the dossier dates to 23 January 2007 [2]. The source's own heading reads "23/ENE/97", so the year is given differently within the source itself [2].

On 23 September 2008, a Tuesday according to the post title, he danced with Moira Castellano at Práctica X, which was then listed at Medrano 476 [3]. In 2010, he and Castellano taught Práctica X's September seminar on circulating on the floor [4]. The post announcing it is headed "7/SEP/10 - bailan - GASTON TORELLI + MOIRA CASTELLANO" [4].

On 14 August 2012, he took part with Castellano in the 'Desafíos Maestros' at Práctica X [5]. The post's title describes this as the second challenge, with Fabian and Lorena against Gaston and Moira [5].

In 2014 he and Castellano were guest artists at Mar del Plata Vive Tango [6]. On 26 April 2026 he danced with Gri Montanaro at Alsina tango club [7].

Partners

A video listing names the following dance partners [1]:

- Noelia Hurtado [1] - Mariana Dragone [1] - Moira Castellano [1] - Mariela Sametband [1] - Natalia Fures [1] - Gri Montanaro [1] - Dana Frigoli [1] - Serkan Gökçesu, who is listed as having partnered with Torelli [1]

Of these, Moira Castellano appears most often in the dated material. Their joint appearances span from 2008 [3] to 2014 [6], and they also taught together in 2010 [4]. Mariela Sametband is documented in the 2007 exhibition [2], and Gri Montanaro in the 2026 performance [7].

Dance notes

The only material on his teaching content is the 2010 Práctica X seminar with Castellano, which focused on circulating on the floor [4]. The 2026 video with Gri Montanaro is titled "Ariel e Calibano (Sineterra)", which identifies the piece performed [7].
