Héctor Mayoral

Héctor Mayoral was a tango dancer born on 12 November 1937 [1]. He performed for years with Mariano Mores and with his dance partner Elsa María, appeared in the stage show Tango Argentino in Paris and on Broadway, and died on 15 January 2024 [2][3][4][5][7].

In 1994 he joined Luis Bravo's Forever Tango at the Theatre On The Square in San Francisco [2]. In 2003 he and Elsa María were declared Ciudadanos Ilustres of Buenos Aires [2]. He died on 15 January 2024 [7].

In 1985 he took part in the show's Broadway run [5]. The production record for that run refers to the Mark Hellinger Theatre [5]. Mayoral shared the 1986 Tony nomination for choreography that the production received [5].

He also appeared in the revival of Tango Argentino at the Gershwin Theatre, dated 16 November 1999 [6].

Forever Tango

In 1994 Mayoral joined Luis Bravo's show Forever Tango at the Theatre On The Square in San Francisco [2].

Death

Héctor Mayoral died on 15 January 2024 [7].
