Claudia Codega

Claudia Codega is a tango dancer whose professional partnership with Esteban Moreno began in 1990 [1]. Their joint curriculum records an appearance representing Argentina at Expo 92 in Seville, the creation of stage shows in the 1990s, and the founding of the company Unión Tanguera in Lyon, France, in 1999 [1].

Claudia Codega is a tango dancer documented chiefly through her partnership with Esteban Moreno [1][2]. A curriculum published by the pair states that she and Moreno met and began working together in 1990 [1].

The same curriculum records that the two represented Argentina at Expo 92 in Seville in 1992 and then began touring [1]. It also lists the creation of the show Locura Tanguera in 1996 and Con este tango in 1998 [1]. In 1999, according to this source, they settled in France and founded the company Unión Tanguera in Lyon [1].

Later documented activity includes a dance in Desafíos Maestros at Practica X in Buenos Aires on 6 March 2007 [3], an interview with Ignacio Varchausky in 2025 [4], and a performance in Lille on 8 May 2026 [5]. A video listing also names several other dancers with whom she has danced: Cristhian Sosa, Nene Masci, Hernan Alvarez Prieto and Facundo Piñero [2].

Career

According to the curriculum titled "Claudia Codega y Esteban Moreno: Curriculum para dos", Codega and Moreno met and began working together in 1990 [1]. In 1992 they represented Argentina at Expo 92 in Seville, after which they began touring [1].

The curriculum lists two stage shows: Locura Tanguera, created in 1996, and Con este tango, created in 1998 [1]. In 1999 the pair settled in France and founded the company Unión Tanguera in Lyon [1].

On 6 March 2007 Codega danced in Desafíos Maestros at Practica X in Buenos Aires, as recorded in that practica's March 2007 posts [3].

Her principal documented partner is Esteban Moreno, with whom she has worked since 1990 [1][2]. A video listing also records her dancing with the following partners [2]: - Esteban Moreno [1][2] - Cristhian Sosa [2] - Nene Masci [2] - Hernan Alvarez Prieto [2] - Facundo Piñero [2]
