Letra

Castellano

Recited: Beside the portrait of the man she loved most in the world sunk in a deep grief, this is how a woman sang: In the fatal cup of my anguish I try in vain to drink forgetting, for just like a wounded bird, I can no longer beat my wings. How many years of absence and you haven't come back, perhaps it doesn't suit you, and yet you're the father of a little boy who is calling for you without cease. You don't know how lovely he is, now, if you saw him, you'd be amazed, you should hear how well he says papa. Your bad action I shall forget and from my heart, I'll receive you, with the forgiveness I'll anxiously give you. It isn't possible to live so sadly, given over to the cruellest torment, I need your words of encouragement, your glances and kisses of yesterday. Give me back the happiness I lost, by coming back yourself to my side, now that the fruit of our sin has come to sing my loving.
