Motivo sentimental · Domingo Federico · 1965

Y yo he quedado sufriendo El hondo drama de tango Que él me dejó.

I carry tango in my life Like a claw, Sticking in the living flesh of my emotion. The bitter voice of the bandoneon The bitter voice of the bandoneon. A sad tango drama, was its detour, Through paths of old dreams His love is gone. And the tango cries with me, The hundred reasons of sorrow That he left me. The tango makes me sad I can't help it, There's the rancor of an open wound And emotion of old sorrow In its grave grumbling. Tango makes me sad Because I am sentimental, Its voice is that of a friend That revives the motives Of my passionate drama. Through the buttonhole of the wound Which is a memory, The bitter voice of the bandoneon slips through. And his sorrow is confused With this sorrow that I have. He came into my life crying Something he forgets, He left singing joys of the heart. And I have been left suffering The deep drama of tango That he left me.
